Hi and why!

Why does this exist

I have wanted to do some lil blog for quite some time, which feels very dumb for me to write, considering blogs are not a new concept, and not hard to do! But, I think what I’ve been craving more than just a free write or a journal entry is a place where I can write what I want on a regular basis and someone will see it. Many other people have said it better, but basically “is art really art if no one sees it.”

This isn’t “art” per say, but I unfortunately need validation that someone is reading my opinions of Emily in Paris, music, skincare finds, life etc. So, thanks for that!

A little about me: I was a comedian for 10 years, mostly in the Bay Area. For a lot of that, I performed nearly every night. I stopped doing comedy somewhat recently because the only part I like about it was performing, and there is a lot of other stuff I didn’t like about it. Since stopping, I have struggled to find a regular creative endeavor that has stuck. I had a podcast for a year and some change, have written some short film scripts and TV scripts, and have performed in plays, commercials and storytelling shows, but there is no “regular thing,” to make part of the routine. And, turns out, I need that.

Also, I make almost $0 from any of that, so I do copywriting for a day job. Copywriting is writing on a regular basis that people see, but it’s not always super reflective of my own POV, and nor should it be.

So here I am! Also, I love discovering new music and skincare, so I’ll probably build something in about all of that. ENJOY!
